Sempu Island is one nature reserve in Malang regency. This Island is located across Sendang Biru Beach which is frequented for purposes of camping, swimming in Segara Anakan lagoon, snorkeling, or just to fishing. Spending time on the island is indeed a reason why this place is worthy of becoming a tourist destination beaches in Malang.
Geographically, the island is located in Tambakrejo village, Sumbermanjing Wetan district, Malang regency. Since the Age of Netherlands, this island is already set to be one of the natural reserves by the Dutch government. On this island, we will find Segara Anakan lagoon which is very beautiful place, but we have to pass a forest by tracking. However, after passing through the forest, we will be rewarded by the sight of charm beaches.
The forest road on Sempu Island is difficult to follow in rainy season. So, the advised to go there is during the dry season. In the rainy, the road way will be full of muddy and watery, which certainly would be difficult to pass. Moreover, if we are bring a lot of items for the camping purposes. So, for the tracking part, we have to use a special shoe which is rent by the local and also use a guide services. The view is very tempting, so many visitors who visit this beach even during the rainy season. The visitors thought that the hard road is not a problem because it would be change by the beautiful view.
