Sendang Biru Beach




Sendang Biru is the harbor beach in the southern part of Malang Regency, which free from big waves of Indian Ocean due to the existence of wild life Sempu Island, about 300 meters offshore and around 10 minutes using the local boats.

The other side of the beach is now utilize 'as Center of Fishes Disembarkation PPI' where fisherman disembark their catches in which is under the authority of the Fishery Service and Managed. The fish buyer usually comes from the big agent, locals, or just the Sempu tourist.

Officially, the beach of Sendang Biru is managed by the State-owned Forestry Company.

To reach Sendang Biru, visitor can take an accessible public transportation named "Mikrolet/ Angkot" from Gadang - Turen - Sendang Biru. Sendang Biru is about 70 km away to the south from Malang at Tambakrejo village, Sumbermanjing Wetan district. The cost of public transportation from Gadang to Sendang Biru normally is 30,000 Idr depends of the season.

Actually Sendang Biru is the transit harbor when the visitor wants to enjoying the beautiful beach and the interesting waves with the white sands of Sempu Island that spread along the beach.
